คำเชื่อมประโยค (Connectives) Part 2

เรามาต่อกันเลยนะครับ : )  การใช้คำเชื่อมประโยคที่มีความขัดแย้ง และเป็นเหตุเป็นผลกัน
มีอยู่อีก 4 กลุ่มด้วยกันครับ

3.    อย่างไรก็ตาม (ขัดแย้ง)

	Still,
	But,
....... S + V .......	Yet,	....... S + V .......
	However,
	Nevertheless,
	Nonetheless,

       He is smart. However, no one like him.
       เขาฉลาด แต่ ไม่มีใครชอบเขา


4.    เพราะว่า

	because
	since
....... S + V .......	for	....... S + V .......
ผล	as	เหตุ
	seeing that
	now that

       She gets the highest score in the class because she works very hard.
       เธอได้คะแนนสูงสุดในชั้นเรียน เพราะ เธอตั้งใจเรียนมาก


5.    เพราะ / เนื่องจาก

	due to
	owing to
....... S + V .......	thanks to	....... N / วลี .......
ผล	as a result of	เหตุ
	on account of
	because of

       ใช้ได้ 2 แบบ อาจจะนำคำเชื่อมมาอยู่ระหว่างประโยค หรือ อยู่หน้าประโยค

       She gets the highest score in the class due to hardworking.
       เธอได้คะแนนสูงสุดในชั้นเรียน เพราะ ความขยัน

       Due to hardworking, she gets the highest score in the class.
       เพราะ ความขยัน เธอจึงได้คะแนนสูงสุดในชั้นเรียน


6.    ดังนั้น

	So,
	Thus,
....... S + V .......	Hence,	....... N / วลี .......
เหตุ	Therefore,	ผล
	Thereby,
	Consequently,

       She worked hard. Consequently, she could get the first place.
       เธอตั้งใจเรียน ดังนั้น เธอจึงได้ที่หนึ่ง

คำเชื่อมประโยค (Connectives)

คำเชื่อมประโยคมีอยู่หลายกลุ่มด้วยกัน
แต่เราควรจะเริ่มจากคำเชื่อมที่พบเห็นได้ทั่วๆไป
"และ", "หรือ", "กว่า", "เช่น", ....


1.    ..............    and     ..............
                          or

       หน้าและหลัง and / or จะเป็นคำชนิดเดียวกัน
       เช่น      N  N  N  and  N      ->    The stationery are things such as pen, pencil, ruler and paper.
                  adj adj adj and adj    ->    He is dark, tall, rich and handsome.


2.    ..............    than     ..............

       ใช้เปรียบเทียบสองสิ่ง
       เช่น     Kids these days are more competitive than those in the past.
                  เปรียบเทียบ kids these days กับ those in the past


3.    ยิ่งไปกว่านั้น   (เสริมความ)

	Besides,
	Moreover,
....... S + V .......	Furthermore,	....... S + V .......
+	In addition,	+
-	Additionally,	-

       He is so generous. Moreover, he always help other people.
       เขาเป็นคนใจกว้าง ยิ่งไปกว่านั้น เขายังช่วยเหลือผู้อื่นอยู่เสมอ

       * ถ้าข้างหน้าเป็นความหมายบวก ข้างหลังก็เป็นความหมายบวก


4.   ยกตัวอย่าง / เช่น   (ขยายความ)

       For example,
       For instance,     ....... S + V .......
       To illustrate,

       He has met many famous people. For example, he interviewed Obama last week.

       such as              ...... N / วลี ......
       namely

       There are various mode of transport namely bus, car, ship, train and plane.
